What do you think of $150 for a used SE gauge cluster? Will it fit my '95 GLE? It's got the standard odometer, just like mine.

Call the dealer

Call the dealer and say you are looking for an SE gauge cluster and ask for the price. When they give you the price, compare that with the one that is for sale that you are looking into buying. (Little Maxima Owners tricks).

I'm sure that the dealer price will be 3 to 4 times that. I wanted to know if anyone has bought one from a junk yard and if it was a good deal for a USED one. Also, is there any difference between '95 and '97?

Are you sure? The guy selling it says the the '97 has a standard odometer. He also has a '98 for sale and says that one has a digital odometer, so he can obviously tell the difference.

No, digital odometer started in 1998 Maximas. My 1997 has the old analog spinning kind.

I have a 95 GLE and did the same thing you are trying to do. I got my cluster at a junk yard for $75.00 out of a 96se. It just plugged right up. However, I switched out my odometer so it would still be correct. Refer to MaximaDriver.com's colored guage face install to do this.

Sinewave a new gauge cluster assembly is $900.00, I wanted one two years ago before the indiglos came out for out cars. Just letting you know what Ray Brandt had quoted me for a new one at the dealer. $150 is the average price for a used cluster assembly.
