exhaust is 2 loud
budget y + stock cat+ budget b w/ resonator and a borla proxs muffler.
the whole exhaust is 2.5 inch then i got a 4.5x3.5 tip.
i searched and from what i read this setup was supposed to sound deep, and not loud at cruising speeds. the only thing i could think of is that i didn't get the "intercooled tip" but would that make a difference??????

the tip really doesnt make a difference in sound resonance. you might want to look into having another resonator put back on to you exhaust system or a muffler with more chambers.

must be the muffler and tip combination... I had a Stillen y-pipe with my stock cat and exhaust but i welded on a four in tip and i noticed a different sound in my exhaust. I'm currently running a Stillen y-pipe, stock cat,and a Apexi cat back with a custom fit silencer on the tip.
