Brake selection...
not sure which brakes to go with...i heard the wilwood big brake kit is nice as hell, but its around $1000...i could always go with the brembo xdrilled & slotted rotors w/ metal matrix pads on all 4 wheels, which would run me about $550..but do the wilwoods really perform that much better? let me know guys..thanks

(Valid point, just the same)
IMO, better brakes are always a good move. I always buy the best braking setup my budget will allow. That's why I'm running Brembo slotted rotors, Porterfield R4-S pads, Goodrich SS braided lines and ATE Super Blue DOT 4 racing fluid. (My budget wouldn't support a big-brake kit, so this was the best setup I could afford). I've been happy with it on the street and on roadcourse circuit racing.

I say go for real big brakes if you can, the difference is amazing!!
but honestly you would be surprised on how good a set of pads and rotors will do
if you go track racing- maybe pick up a set of Hawk HP+ pads and an extra set of rotors- you will be stoppin like mad!

Good call. Pretty much answers that then.

That's an extra $300 my budget can't handle right now.

So I guess getting a big brake kit also means buying an extra rim & tire for your spare. Because if kits don't fit under a 16' rim, they can't fit under a donut spare.
