Posted this on the 5th gen board, but wanted you guys to see it too. I'm driving our 4th gen today while the 5th gen gets an alignment. Took it in to have cleaned, and now that it's clean and polished...very nice! In some ways it looks nicer than the 2k3 - 4th gens are good looking cars!

The best thing about the 5th gen in your sig....
Is the reflection of the 4th gen in your 5th gen's paint.

That's a great sig pic. I think 4th gens can really look great after a little suspension work.

Yeah...I never really noticed the huge wheel gap until I got the car. It's weird, but once you become the owner you notice all it's strengths and weaknesses...and wheel gap is definatally it's weakness.

That is because the wheel gap is more evident when the car is not moving. When moving it lowers a little.

On the freeway the wheel gap doesn't seem so bad. Still bad compared to other cars in the class tho

I still like the way the 4th gens look especially the 97-99 SE's great looking stock, but the 02/03 Se's look great stock as well.

There is a plus side to that gap though -- at least for me. My school has steep and skinny speed bumps. Without the gap, I think I'd be scraping everytime.

this is how i see it. STOCK, 3rd gen looks the best...heavily modded, 4th gen looks the best....5th gen is in between, looks better than 4th gen stock but not as good as a nice 3rd gen, wit the paint and everything...i mean a 94...dam, no wait, 5th gens look nice as hell stock...ahh, 4th gen owns!!

The Gap in the front looks even worse when I have a couple of buddies and some luggage in the trunk. Looks like my car in the rear is always sagging.

Does everyone's stock max do the same? Damn, looks like I always have a dead body back there..even when I am in the car alone!

They won't scrape on your speed bumps at school. The speed bumps at my school are the biggest I have ever seen and I have sprint springs, no scrapping. When I get a body kit, I think that is when I will have problems. GET IT LOWERED!

me too
Just got back from a mission to my friends farm last night and noticed the same thing. 5 big boys, 2 12"'s and a s**tload of gear puts my rear end on the rubber while the front rides stock. Looks pretty funny (or scary).

I had 6 people in my 99SE with stuff in the trunk and it barely sagged at all. It was noticable but but you still had to really look at it to really notice it was much lower than the front. not like ive seen on some Maxima's where it looks like the fender is touching the tire, i was still able to put my fist in between the tire and fender. It might be different on the SE's since the suspension is tighter. I thinks my car looks alright with stock springs although i would like to drop it about an inch, im just afraid of scraping everywhere especially here in LA

I got Maxspeed springs and although the drop is not that much, I would say, now my car sits lower than almost every car I pull up next to. My friend has a 93 Legend and my car is the same height as his now.

I agree, I don't have any problems with speed bumps (lowered w/maxspeed/ KYB AGX). I even increased my speed to go over some and still no bottoming. THis set takes bumps ok, but potholes make you bounce.

I would agree...I have only scraped about 15 times already, not bad for where and how I drive. The worst thing I scrape on is my driveway.

I would love to put a Stillen kit on but then I don't think I could drive anywhere.
