Knock Sensor pricing
I ran the codes when my CEL came on due to forgetting to plug in air temp sensor when installing my intake this weekend. i got the air temp code and the 0304 code. Knock sensor. I've looked around now for a few days trying to find the best price. http://www.expressautoparts.com/impo...TOKEN=39203394 so far has been the cheapest I've found at $107.31. Does anyone know if this is a good deal. Anyone know if this site is reliable? Also I was searching through the posts and someone mentioned needing a new wiring harness due to the knock senor? Is it nessesary or can I take out my old one and just put in the new one. Any responses would be appreciated.

i have bought a lot from expressautoparts.com. they are affiliated with a number of other foreign car only places...like thepartsbin.com, foreignpartsplace.com and so on....they usually have one of the best prices going. I have recently tried buying stuff from autopartsgiant.com....their prices are competative, but i had a problem with some stuff I bought and they have not gotten back to me after a few attempts...even though they express a 1 year warranty of their own....so they are good to buy from if its brands you trust i guess.
Don't get in a panic to replace that knock sensor right away...many others have commented that that code will get set off as a result of other problems, when the sensor is still good. Fix your air temp sensor, clear the computer and see if it comes back. Obviously if it does, you should consider repalcing it...but that's pretty uncommon....i think most of the members notice their car getting "doggy" off the line, and the knock sensor is to blame in many of those cases.
good luck
