95/96 Clear/Red Tail Lights

Ok, I know there out there, i just need to know where to get them. If anyone knows, please let me know!!!

my russian buddy just got about 20 all clear outter 95-96 tails that he is planning on redding out the bottom...only, he already messed up 2 sets. go figure he'll be able to sell a couple of sets out of that batch.

how can they have them on a website if they dont have them. i think im gonna call their customer service line later and find out if they really have them or not. Wouldnt that be great if they did

this has been discussed many times and many people have called them ... APC had the product pulled because they are illegal

I placed an order for the clear taillights last night and I will place an order for the red/clears this afternoon.

We'll see ... when I get the email from them saying those products do not exist, I'll post it up and shut everyone up forever.

Illegal? Can you tell us exactly why they would be illegal. The tail lights are still red. As long as an amber bulb is used in the turn signal housing, then the turn signals are also legal. You just can't have white turn signals. If APC couldn't figure that out, then they don't need to be selling anything. The all clear lenses on the rear ARE illegal b/c when you do away with the red in the lens, you are deleting the only red reflectors on the rear of the vehicle which is required by law.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but being a cop does have its advantages. BTW. Why would red/clears be illegal for the 95/96 but not the 97+?

The person who learns how to make the 95/96 clears is going to make a mint. If I get some Xtra cash maybe I'll buy some all clears and play around with different paints. maybe I'll get lucky.

I hear that the amber in the early 4th gen tails is bonded to the clear, or something like that. There may not even be clear on the outside but only amber plastic bonded to the red. Something like that.

Well, Since this was my tread, i did the honor of calling up Nopi and APC today...2/1/03. There are discontinued, but i swear i will have them. No matter what!!!!!!!!!

And the first person to make professional looking sets? David L - he made lots of money already.

Craigy do whine a bit, don't he? So after all his whining, now he can sell them for quite a bit more. Some things are just not fair.

David L got them a long time ago when they were still legal.

So as anyone tryied to make red/Clears from their own stock lights?, I ask coz I am going to call up all the junk yards to find me some, as I dont want to fu@# mine up, But alittle fore sight in what problems I am going to run into may go a long long way.

And whats the deal with custom Maxima, they say they are coming, but when, even if we had a date from them.....somthing, DAMIT I WANT A CLEAR TAIL LIGHT.
