Engine Mount Location Question

Recently when putting my car into gear or letting off the gas on the highway i've felt a little bump of movement in my engine. I know I probobly need a new engine mount, but the only one I can seem to locate easily is the one in the front. Can anyone describe the locations of the others? Also, how long could I let this problem slide safely. I wouldnt want my engine to fall out. I have a 1998 Infiniti I30.

Do you see where the "front" mount is located? If you look from beneath, you'll see it's attached to a beam going under your engine. If you trace the beam towards the rear of the car, you'll find the "rear" mount, which's the important one for the lil jerk you're feeling. Actually, those 2 mounts are the best to replace. The ones on the "side" (look by the power steering fluid reservior and under the air filter box) don't do so much for the jerk motion.

You can also take the mounts out, fill them with polyurethane, and shove them back in (search for "engine mount" and see what you get). Or call Tustin Nissan (search for "Tustin Nissan"), talk to Mike, and they should be $60-100.

Good luck!

Jae
