Okay this is Ladeesman I'm too lazy to change names...anyway, since my car is currently wrecked I was looking for another 4th gen to drive in the mean time. I found a 95 GLE for $2,900. It has 141k on it. Seems as though it was hit in the drivers rear and the damage was repaired BUT was repainted poorly. Also the leather interior is a little worn. This is not a big factor as i can switch it out with my other car. The BIG issue is an engine noise. The seller said it was diagnosed by his mechanic as the timming chain BUT was not yet close to serious and still had alot of time. This makes me nervous. I'm only planning on keeping this car for a year at the most. Is it worth it? How much would I spend doing the chain replacement myself? Btw it has 2k2 SE wheels which are from $750-$1000 themselves....that's the MAJOR plus. I'm not looking for a perfect car....just a beater until I get mine fixed. What do you guys think?
