I'd like to install a 97-99 Stillen front lip on my '96 max

What are my options? Is there anyway to modify the lip itself to make it fit? I've read that if I want to leave the lip alone I will have to install a 97+ front clip. What is the front clip? Will I have to change out the whole front bumper? Anyone who has done the conversion successfully please let me know your e-mail as I have a few questions to ask.

Thx,

See the FAQ's at the top of the forum.

You could do bodywork and *maybe* get the 97-99 lip to fit your 96, but why bother with that hassle?

You'd have to swap not only the front clip (= bumper cover), but the grill as well and maybe even the headlights, too. (?)

Unless you're really committed to a 97-99 front-end conversion, I'd just shop for a '95/'96 lip if I were you.

Just get a 97-99 front bumper the same color of your car and order the front lip and you have a 97-99 stillen front lip.

Yes, I'm aware that Stillen makes a kit for the '95-6 max. I don't like the way the front lip looks though; the 97 kit is much more attractive.

Can anyone else confirm or deny that the headlights and grill will have to be changed out as well?

Thx,
