DTC Self Diag / Results

My check engine light came up on my 95 Maxima with 90K miles. I took it to the dealer and he showed me a DTC results report. it showed something like this.

SELF DIAG RESULTS
-----------------

DTC RESULTS TIME
------------- ----
KNOCK SENSOR 0
[P0325]

HO2S1 7
[P0130]

PURG VOL CONT/V 0
[P0443]

After looking at this forum and reading several articles I decided that the O2 sensor is bad and I asked them to replace it. (of caurse the dealer said I have to replace all 3 and gave me an estimate for $1.4K)

When I went to get the car I noticed that the report had another portion (Dealer did not show me this part.. suprise!!!) to it and had the following additional information.
( I asked the clerk to make a copy)

DTC RESULTS

PURG VOLUME CONT/V
[P0443]

System Data

FUEL SYS-B1 Mode5
FUEL SYS-B2 Mode5
CAL/LD VALUE 0%
COOLANT TEMP 57 F
........ Rest is all 100%

My questions are,
1) was my O2 sensor bad?
2) do I have a bad PVC too?

One more thing is that when I start for the 1st time in the morning I have to keep my foot on the pedal for 2 sec. if not it tends to die. After 2 sec.s I can take my foot off the pedal and it runs at idle speed without a problem.

Thanks in advance

Replace your PCV Valve yourself - cost = $5

Check your plugs and coils

I'm willing to bet it's th PCV however - do it yourself and reset the computer annd save over 1.4k!!

I hate dealerships - they see that codes go off and routinely replace the sensors. Sensors throw codes for a reason!! It doesn't mean they are bad, it's usually indicative of something else (like a clogged PCV)

I actually did a full tune up
-new platinum plugs
-cleaned TB
-new fuel filter/air filter
I was tald the PVC valve was cleaned but I am having doubts now... why whould he clean it if it was that cheap!!!

I am going to get a reapir-manual and do it myself..
Any good recomendations for a repair-manual?

Thanks for the advice...

Chiltons or haynes. I reccommend the Chiltons, but both are good.

A set of Panel Poppers (buy at your local Schucks/Kragen) is an awesome tool for popping the PCV out of it's hard to reach spot.
