Hey All,

Finally got around to performing the self diagnostics on the Maxima. Got code 55. 5 Long blinks, and then 5 short blinks. No other codes displayed.

Using VBX's great/very useful website I pulled the code and got "No Failure Recorded/Detected"

Question is why do I get a "Check Engine" light when there is no failure recorded? I reset it and will wait to see if it comes on again. Guess I am greatful its not gonna cost me any money to repair. Just hope there really is not a bigger problem lurking in the car.

You may have accidently reset it when you were pulling the codes, it happened to my friend. Just wait to see if it comes back on
