Re: peeps with Injen intake install help!!!

Yeah, I also had this problem, only thing is...I still have this problem with my air temp. sensor...I searched and searched=no luck!!! My guess on this problem would be to get a 97-99 air temp sensor and splice the wires. Keep in mind though, I haven't had the time of day to even do this, just a suggestion. I keep getting CEL and it's related directly to the air temp sensor. Also, I read up on in, and I am sacrificing power and gas mileage....Now I might get his done and post about it...

I had a hard time doing these things too, I installed my intake monday. In ur stock scoop u take the air intake temp sensor and rubber gromit pull them out. Put them in ur new intake and it will work. You will see a metal resistor on the fender wall, unscrew the 2 screws and the MAF sensor will reach the plug. Watch out because I put my intake in and the fan was rubbing with the filter.

Absolutely. it's bad pictures and confusing directions. But if you spend just a little time reading it, it's all good. I opened my box up and said, "Ah, this should be quick and simple, probably don't need the instructions!". Then found out I really had to read the instructions first. The only encounter I have is the black box underneath the battery tray, I needed to take that out too, it didn't say that in my directions. Took hour and half total with a casted right wrist, no bad at all.

definitely. The direcions say nothing about the bottom part of the airbox. This was the first thing i did to the car myself, but as long as you take your time and pay attention, you really can't go wrong.
