newbie question about wattage

If something says 55->75 watt bulb, does that mean that it still draws a 55 watt current, but produced light similar to a 75watt?

Thanks

55 Watts is 55 Watts
75 Watts is 75 Watts

55 Watts cannot equal 75 Watts

I don't like green eggs and ham.

These are facts.

This is called marketing --> 55 Watts = 75 Watts

Make sure you are not talking about a dual fillament bulb.
it could be refering to 55W for low beams, and 75 Watts for hight beams.
