How often should you get a Tune-up?
How often should you get a Tune-up?
I bought my car at 37K miles and it is doing 62K now.
Never had a tune-up.
What are the signs?
What are the recommendations?
I don't think there is anything wrong with my car....so is it still advisable?
Thanks
BP

Follow the maintanence schedule in your owners manual and you'll be fine. It's not really a tune up per say. Different items require service at different intervals. If you don't have the manual, I'm sure some on here will give you a good idea of what gets checked/replaced/cleaned & adjusted.
At 62K your due for whats called a major service. It's very easy to do if your at all mechanically inclined.

Dealer recommends the 60K service every 60K but it's very costly, however they do lots of maintenance items
