moving up

I just wrecked my 92 Se 5 speed and I'm thinking about moving up to a 4th generation Max.My 3rd generation had several of the common problems that they all had.Power window regultors, power antenna, bose speakers, etc.Do the 4th generations have common problems?I want a SE 5 speed. Is their anything I need to know? I know absolutely nothing about 4th generations. Are all the engines the same and if not which one is the best? Thanks

Alternators and the bearings in some 5spd manual trannies seem to have an abnormally high failure rate. Other than that they are very reliable. All models have the same engine.
