I got a 1997 SE 5 speed and in the mornings or when the car has been off for a while, and I try to start the car, when I press down the clutch to start the car, a weird high pitched noise occurs like it almost coming from one of the belts. any suggestions on what it could be?

could be the alternator belt......does it sound like a whining noise?
