polishing the engine

i want to polish all showing metal surface of my engine to like a chrome finish any one got any ideas? im good at buffing and stuff like sanding but im not exactly sure i want to take the engine appart or anything like that. also if any one has done it i would like some pics or links. thanks

Just pick up a can of high-temp crome engine paint.
