it will stop the exaggerated wheel hop that I can vouch for. As for as the clutch chatter, dunno I had clutch chatter but it went away in three days. I did install the ACT and Motor mounts at the same time.

FYI: cattman doesn't make mounts..

The poly engine mounts will eliminate/reduce wheel hop, but I still get some wheel hop. It is just something that we, as FWD vehicles, have to live with.

I would get the poly engine mounts from SX7R, as they are the same thing as the Place Racing engine mounts, just you don't have to pay for the name.....

I thought the home made ones were just OEM ones with the extra space arounf the or soft bushing filled in with poly. The Place Racing ones are solid poly?

$263...wholly crap...you could have bought oems and filled them yourself for cheaper...a whole lot cheaper...the poly mix from Mcmasters cost me about $25 shipped...and I ordered an oem mount from courtesy...but good luck with your purchase.

Those mounts keep the engine in place but your going to feel alot...youll probably be forced to turn your idle up to about 1200 so you can actually drive it on the street..what I did was :

OEM mounts $141 for front and back
Poly fill $25

-Matt
I still have to fill the top mounts in the spring

The Place Racing mounts are NOT the same as the homemade mounts. There's a big difference between solid poly and filled poly with OEM rubber mounts, but for me I liked the trade off (less vibration).

Here are my stock mounts versus mounts from sx7r.

mounts

i purchased the original poly mounts from cattman, if you remember at first we used stock mounts, all 4. they replaced the stock insides for poly. made by place racing. i have no wheel hop now, it will just alow the tires to spin freely.( this was one of my favorite mods, outstanding ) clutch chatter is usually from disk surface. either aggresive disk material or disk may be wet from oil. there are other reasons probably also for clutch chatter.

well i diidn't clean the flywheel when i installed it so im thinking that i had finger prints on it. plus i didn't TQ it to spec. i just use a 3/8 impact gun to put it on (flywheel/pressure plate)

chatter

if the chatter is from your clutch disk just being to aggressive, the poly mounts will help you take away some chatter when launching. if you need some more help just email me.

The PR mounts are the best to help you not break anything because they geep the motor/trans assembly geometry perfect so the shifter mechanism works perfectly under high torque applications. Softer mounts allow the motor to move and the geometry gets messed up and the effect is like almost missing a shift, the more power you have the more it will move with soft mounts. With the PR mounts it aint moving! The vibration aint bad either, after a while its soothing.
