gr2 = agx. settings

what setting would the kyb agx's have to be on in the front and rear to match whatever the dampaning rates are for the non adjustable gr2's. basically im asking are the gr2's stiff or soft. ive heard some people say the gr2 are just non adjustable agx's.is that true? im getting maxspeed springs and drive a little agressive but not full out nuts. i think the maxspeed/gr2 setup should complement my driving habits well. ..i got an addco rsb and a cheap rear strut bar too. thanks..

If you don't need adjustability and you like KYB products, then get the GR2.

Also don't forget about the Tokicos - They ride nice.

Re: gr2 = agx. settings

The maxspeeds aren't very aggressive. I would say the maxspeeds are 15% stiffer than stock SE springs. GR2s should be fine. I'm running AGXs and I have mine set at 2 in the front and 2 in the back. I'm sure I could run 1/1 and still have enough dampening.

GR2s are pretty soft as far as damping goes. I had them for a year on my ground controls. About a year in the rears blew out because the ground controls are just too low and stiff for the GR2s, but with a soft spring like the maxspeed they should be good for a few years.

I actually have the AGXs coupled with B+G springs, and I'm thinking about switching to GR2s. Over bad roads the ride is just too rough, and my car feels like its about to shake itself apart.

Firm struts will not deteriorate your ride as much as firm springs. BMW has done this for years - soft springs with firm struts. Toyota does that with its Camry, with lesser success.

I would go with your spring of choice and go with the AGX's. I had Tokicos, they cannot compare with the AGX's, which are superior in every way. The softest setting on the AGX is firmer than the Tokico HP's, but it rides better! Go figure.
