Exhaust system opinions?

This summer I am going to do my exhaust system along with some other mods, and I was just wondering...what's the difference between getting a B-pipe and muffler as opposed to a cat-back? I know you'll have your choice of a muffler if you go with B-pipe/muffler, but Cat-backs can cost so much more. Is there any major difference between the two kinds of exhaust systems? Just wondering. I'm going to get a Budget Y-pipe, and either the Budget B-Pipe/a muffler or a Cat-back. Wanna know more about the differences though. Thanks.

Most of the mufflers that you see for $70-80 are universal fart cans that aren't specific for your car, they dont always fit exactly, and dont always sound good, I would advise you to listen to one before you buy.
Good luck,
Dan

a cat-back and muffler/b-pipe are the same thing. Cat-back is all the piping from the Catalyic (sp?) Converter and back, hence the name "Cat-Back". As far as the differences, Full cat-back systems are usually already custom made and fit for our cars. They are also more expensive but you'll also probably get a bit more gain from them. (ex: Greddy)
On the other hand, you also have the option of making your own custom catback from a muffler shop by selecting a muffler and telling them to contruct a b-pipe for you. This will probably be the cheaper and better (IMO) for a catback, its just that you wont have that "brand name" look/quality as an Apexi, Greddy, Stillen....
