Clicking noise when brake pressed, right tail not on

I have a 98 maxima gle. For some reason when I am in park and I tap the brake I hear a clicking noise that sounds like it comes from somewhere in the dash. And when i have my light on the left taillight(not the one attatched to the trunk) doesn't come on, but the bulb is fine because it comes on when I brake, I checked both of the lights in there and they both work.
If anyone has any ideas about either of these problems please help.
Thanks

Dan

The clicking sound is the activating of your rear tails. Nothing new. For the taillight it looks like you burnt the LOW filament.

The clicking noise is normal, its the shifter button unlocking so you can change the gear from park.

The clicking is so that you can take the car out of park, that's why some theft deterent systems prevent you from pushing the brake, because if you can't their is no way to take it out of park. Do you have aftermarket taillights? Check your connections and if one of your friends has an OHM meter you could check to see if it is getting power at least to the taillamp assembly.
