low-mid-high end power

just a quick question. what exactly is considered low, mid , and high end power. if you lose high end would that mean it is power beyond 5000 rpm or what?

For the Maxima:

Low - Idle to ~3k
Mid - ~3k to ~5k
Hi - ~5k and up.

At least that's what I consider it to be. The Maxima's torque curve starts to really pick up at about 3500rpm.

Each engine is different. For instance, a Chevy V-8 engine (circa 1985) would consider anything above 3.5 to 4k to be high because of its low redline. Midrange would start around 2 to 2.5k.
