Fast idle problem...

My 95SE has a nasty high idle problem when it warms up...
When it warms up, and I decelerate to a stop, sometimes the engine is idling at 1350-1500 RPMs. If I tap the throttle, it comes back down to where it's supposed to be (750 RPM).
I made sure that the coolant hoses were connected to the TB,
cleaned the TB, and cleaned the PCV valve.
I also checked adjustment on the fast idle cam below the TB.
Could this be a faulty TPS?
Has anyone else had this problem?

yes, I had that problem
on a '96 SE 5 speed. If you have the AC on it idles at about 200 rpm higher. I removed and cleaned the throttle body, to no avail. I also checked to make sure the fstb wasn't hitting the throttle cable - it wasn't. I also took it to the dealer and had them hook it up to the handheld computer (can't think of the name of it). We took it for a drive, hooked up to the computer, and when the idle stuck, it didn't register anything weird on the computer. This led us to believe it was vacuum related and not electronic. The conclusion we reached was that it was the IAC valve, which I believe is the idle control valve. Basically, this valve is manually pushing on the bottom of the throttle body and causing the high idle. When you tap the accelerator, this loosens the sticking and lowers the idle. It's behind the throttle body. It is supposedly sensitive to being clogged and could cause this exact problem. When the car is on high idle, press down on the throttle cable and you'll see what I mean.
If I remember correctly, the dealer said it was $300 out the door to replace - I said "no thanks" and figured I'd clean it myself. I never did and ended up selling the car. Supposedly this thing can be removed and cleaned but I've heard it's a fragile instrument and easily broken. Be prepared to replace it or just go ahead and replace it, if your analysis comes to the same conclusion.

As per the manual, it is now set at 450 ohms with the throttle in the idle position, and 4500 ohms WOT.
WOOHOOHOO!
Now my Max runs even better!
