1996 Color question
Hello all,
I am looking at replacing my cracked leather seats as the previous owner removed the cloth covers and recovered them with "cheap" leather covers. I found cloth seats at a recycling yard for a good price about 4 hours drive from my house. The problem is they tell me that they are grey but he is not sure if they are greenish-grey, brownish grey etc.. My interior is black and the exterior is dark blue. I would like to same myself a drive for nothing if they are not going to match. The only thing he can tell me is that they come from a "purple" 1996 SE car. Can someone tell me where I can get an idea of the color that the interior was back in 1996, SE, Purple exterior.
Your help is much appreciated,
Stephane

The grey is usually a light grey - like this:

Thank you
With the replies I got, it sounded like the cloth seats would be charcoal so I decided to drive the 3 hours to the "recycling yard". The guys sent me out to look at the seats. They were lying and covered in the snow and the back seat was missing. I came back inside and asked them if they had the original mag wheels for my 95 since I only have steel ones. They sent me out again ouside to look at the condition of those mags. To my surprise, they were on a 96 with a perfect leather interior. They offered them to me at the same price as the cloth ones!!! I should get them this Wednesday.
On another note, I fixed my clock with one of the posts in this forum.
Thanks a bunch, this is a great gang!
