Do manual transmission cars have a tranny fluid dipstick?

after the problems i am having with slipping, the stupid mechanic who did my car, says that i need to check my tranny fluid, he said slippage can occur when its cold out, and the car is low on it...where is the dipstick for it on my 97 max?

My friend told me there is none on a 5 spd vehicle???

There is no dip stick.

Low fluid would not cause a 5-spd to slip.

slipping is usually caused by a clutch on its way out

Either that or 2 things

1 clutch is going bad

2 he just never used it and power shifted each gear. . . now he has no gears

That's a new one for me. Ask that guy if he understands how a clutch works.

Youre supposed to finger the fill hole to make sure the fluid is topped off to that point. No joke.
