Just changed my corner lights to orange, need opinions!

Well, I finally changed my corner lights to orange instead of the whitish/weird color than before. I had the blue "hyper whites" in the corners before, but I realized that I cant find any bulb that will match the color of my HIDs, and then I saw another max with teh orange bulb in teh corners, and I wanted to try. Here si a pic of it, let me know what you guys think honestly, and any helpful ideas would be nice

Yup, it was very mismatched. Also as a side note, the HIDs in real life have more of a bluish tint to it, you know hwo digi cams cant capture everything.

I did that a long time ago.

Looks much better then dim white/yellow/blue/superwhite crap.

Look at all the high end cars with factory HID's, they all have orange side markers!

Where did you get those bulbs.. I have the same issue, i installed my HID's last night and my corners look gross. Also what is the size of the corners and the lights by the blinkers?

yeah, i know...they need to swap those out with some clears!

And actually, when Brabus, Haman, Dinan etc. get a hold of those high end cars, the first thing they do is get rid on the orange and replace it with clear. So, yes, any stock car will have orange. Any modified car should have clears.

The corner bulbs are normal 1157 dual filament orange light bulbs that i got form discount auto parts. The one next to eht blinker (side marker) are 194 bulbs and the blinker itself I belive is 1156 single filament, I could be wrong it could be dual.

Belive me after having those ugly off white/"supr white" bulbs on teh side that totally did not match with the HIDs, I think these look a lot better. Here is another pic for you guys:

P.S.- I also have fog lights, but since one is burned out, I dont turn them on. =/

Also, are these rewired or just normal? I have not rewired anything yet. So, if I change to these will they be very very dim orange or as bright as these? I don't have HIDs though.

No they are not rewired, the only thing I have rewired are the fogs which arent on. These are just normal bulbs that I bought to put in, I was also shocked at first to see how bright and how much orange there was, but now I like it. Now I can say that my car is in the same class as a Lexus, BMW or Audi.

LoL, they are just the normal automotive bulbs that you will find at discount auto parts or pepboys, no major japanese brand. They are the GE (general electric) Automotive Lighting 1157NA 12V bulbs/Replacement bulbs. These are the same kind of bulbs you would buy if your tail lights got blown or something. I think total with tax was $2.89, you cant beat that mod price with a stick.
And yes, all you do is unscrew the old bulb and put new one in.

I've got the same orange bulb setup. I love it and wouldn't have it any other way. In the daytime there's a faint orange hue, but at night it's all orange. It makes the car look more classly IMO.

Dave

How about the sidemarkers/turn signals, how is your setup for that? Orange also?

I'm just not feeling it. It's ok but I wouldn't do it. It reminds of the 3rd gen maximas with their orange corner lights. Or like all those accords with their orange corner lights. Even though I don't like it many of these others do so nice work.

I'm not a huge fan of orange corner lights. It's one thing if they blink when your turn signal is on, but I prefer to have as little orange on (with no blinker) as possible.

To me orange is best used to signify turning/lane changes. Thus, I just unplugged my corners when I put my HIDs in.

Miss-matched white is better than orange.

The "money" shot. Orange bulbs in all the signals, still using clear corners.

you might as well just re-install your stock bumper lenses as well.

and where do you get ugly hyper white from?? Mine look hott next to my Hanabi Purple 6,000k's. Yes im using an 1156 bulb in my corner lights, and NO bulb in the side marker lense.

I don't think so, the stock corners are Orange and the bulbs are white. The DC clears are clear lenses and orange bulbs (for those who install them), that's a big difference.

yeah I think its the 97-99 front & the 4000k lights vs your 96 front with 6000k lights (and the cloudy lense?)... everyone thinks I drive an acura TL at night anyways... even some local maxima owners

??

I dont know, is it me or isnt the whole idea of changing the 'stock' yellow turn signals...front/rear, to get away from yellow? Why would you go back to it? Why spend the money to get away from yellow, just to spend more to go back to it?
IDK, maybe its me.....
