how wide is the stock 98 SE rim? 6.5", 7"?

Yes, 225/50/16 will fit fine. I did it, looks a bit more agressive than the 215/55/16's. No rubbing problems.

oops.. i did huh? was looking to buy some 98 se stockers and didn't go back far enuff. thanks!
