for S-AFC ownerZ: fuel question...

if u own a S-AFC, how much gas will this little toy saves u? i know u can adjust the fuel ratio at certain rpm and control full kick-ins, but jus for normal driving... does this thing saves gas?

also, is there any gain in performance?

Theoretically you should save fuel since you can lean out your car when you go WOT... As far as performance gains you'll probably see very little if any. Are you running rich? It's really meant for boosted cars since we tend to run really rich. We have settings I think @ 39%low 40%high throttle. So anything under that and the afc won't really be used.. That's so your ecu doesn't change the settings back to default.

I think the only people who get a real good use if this device are people who use it for performance settings. A daily use setting may or may not be overriden by the ECU. There is specualtion that the ECU will adjust the fuel maps to compensate the leaned out a/f mixture, but I really don't think that there is a lot of truth to it. There are people, non boosted, that use S-AFC's and don't have any problems with it.
