No, the ECU simply starts replaying the codes in a loop when in diagnostic mode.

But those codes you give (p1605, p1105, p1220) don't make any sense - what does the "p" mean? and the firt 2 numbers can never be over 13...

This is the ECU you're talking about, right?

Count Long Pulses first - whatever that number is is your first 2 digits - 01-13

Then short - this is the last 2 digits...01-15

I shouldn't need to explain - there's a Forum Sticky that explains it all....

He's using an ODBII Scanner - these aren't the same as the ECU Codes, although they diagnose the same thing. if you want to figure out what the codes mean, you need to pull them yourself.

Read the sticky on top of this forum for how to get the codes and diagnose them.

it'd be much easier for people to help if you pulled the codes yourself instead of going to AutoZone.

Haynes says:

OBD-II Trouble codes:
p1605=A/T control unit or circuit fault
p1105=Manifold absolute pressure solenoid valve or circuit fault
p1220=Fuel pump control module or circuit fault

I really wouldn't know how to fix these but perhaps they are something you could do yourself instead of going to a mechanic. Pick up a Haynes manual at a parts store (about $15) and start from there. Also, this online version of Chiltons may help you; check it out

Good luck!
