Inspecting old plugs, 1 has REALLY small gap?

I can only assume the plug was gapped incorrectly to begin with, because the plug otherwise looks like a worn plug in very good condition. It does not look like any sort of severe detonation, just an ungapped plug. I am just wondering how this could have affected the engine. It seems like some surging at low throttle acceleration has been fixed, but that power is no more than it used to be.
