Sprint Spring Rear Cutting

Sprint Spring Rear Cutting

how much do i cut off and how do i cut off a portion of the rear spring on sprint springs does ne body know cause the reaqr hangs so damn higher than the front eeek god ugly

Your best bet is to just remove the rear spring entirely.

It also changs the way they are designed to perform.
It also causes them to unseat themselves when you jack up your car.

i dunno about all that. You guys should ask my boy Tony aka Araffio if hes had problems with his cut Sprints. From what i know, not ONE single problem.

Nope, not a single problem. I actually might even cut another coil to level it even more, right now the rear is about .5" higher than the front.

njmaxseltd I respect your knowledge for suspensions, but I think sometimes you are a little too anti-everything when it comes to stuff. Cutting a dead coil or two will not effect the way the spring performs or functions.

You are correct though, there is no need to compress the rear spring to install/remove it. Makes it easier actually....
