ENGINE wiring experts -- PLEASE HELP!!!
OK, my car seems totally F'ed up... I am SO PI$$'D right now ![Mad](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/mad.gif)
Can someone please explain how their IGNITION SIGNAL GROUND WIRE looks?
How does yours weave it's way through the engine bay?
Basically, here's how mine is working (or, lack thereof):
3 wires from the back cylinders --> get merged into one wire (let's call it "A")
3 wires from the front cylinders --> get merged into one wire (let's call it "B")
These two "single" wires (A and B) are then matched together, and one
wire tapped into those two (that is, wire AB) now attaches to the fuel
rail grounds (where my MAFS is grounded).
It seems like someone lazily re-attached these wires...shouldn't
each ignition signal ground go to the fuel rail grounding point?
PLEASE HELP!!! MY CAR IS DYING!!!

been very poorly spliced...I ended up fixing the wire
meself, but, my splice eventually went too...
So, I'm having all the wires re-done...but, wanted to make
sure that what's in there now is how it's supposed to be
(without the original mess up, ofcourse).

Here's a pic from my FSM. It shows that all 6 grounds from the coils are spliced together and connected to the screws you mention. Particularly, thier ground attaches to the screw closest to the drivers side. The condensor, which is a capacitor, gets its ground from both screws. In the picture, ground point F19 is the driver side screw and F18 is the passenger side. Hope this helps.
Sorry it's so big, I hear that all the time.

two things:
1) These were screwed into the PASSENGER side ground point...should that matter?
2) DAMN, that last comment was funny...

1 I don't think grounding it to the other side should matter much unless you have an extremely uneven distribution of grounds there. It looks like several devices get grounds from those points. I guess it's possible to overuse a grounding point
You may want to make a jumper to connect the two grounding points together. I don't really think it shold matter though.
2 haha yeah, it's all too funny haha
