whoa, i dont know what happened to my thread...

so, my brake fluid in the clutch master cylinder was low. i caught it before any air got in. i topped off the cylinder. it looks like i have a very small leak around the slave cylinder area. I cant tell if it is the hose or the slave cyliner. is it easy to remove the slave cylinder maintaining the hydraulics so i can inspect it closer? i have looked at motorvate.ca, nothing looks to hard except for the bleeding.

how much is the hose in US dollars? how much is a new slave cylinder if i need it?

thanks.

You can buy a slave cylinder rebuild kit for dirt cheap maybe like 8 bucks but I would go ahead and buy the slave cylinder for about 60 bucks. The reason I say that is because I after I rebuilt my slave, it worked for about 6 months and then failed again.

I think my intermediate hose cost about 70 bucks. I didnt do the labor on the hose, but I wish I had.

I bought the Cylinder and rebuild kit from NAPA auto parts. Hope that helps

is the slave cylinder difficult to remove? must the hydraulic lines be removed prior to removing the cylinder?

Don't have that problem, might have something to do with the lack of a 3rd pedal.
