Looking good. Definitely one of the cleaner, nicer looking maximas I've seen to date (though I am not a fan of the eyelids, sorry!)

I just acquired a 99 Sterling Mist SE and plan on clearing out the orange tail lights and then tinting them. How'd you apply the tint? I have a can of Testor's Black Window Tint enamel handy... did you tint the insides while you had the lenses apart or did you just spray the outsides?

Thanks,

Doug

Awesome... I was thinking of doing that but I had no idea if I would like how they came out. Thanks!

Because of the poor lighting, you can't really make out the grill. Did you just remove the horizontal bar, or did you remove the grates too? Did you put anything else in there?

i took off the bar and left the black grill that was left and just put some black mesh over it.

This is an old picture without the emblem

Indecisive311: as for the cover i made it, some sanding, some bondo and some paint. And a custom emblem i had made.

imagine me with a lip and a drop, i should consider slowing down when turing up a hill

99Maxima5sp: as long as you dont tint it too much the light output if fine. all i did is tint the clear insert that you put in the housing.

its easy, sand off the Nissan till its even, then use some bondo to fill in the black section that says 'v6 3000 ...', prime it and paint it. you just have to be patient and comfortable with sanding and painting.

Are you talking about smoking the whole healight? If so, then it will reduce your visibility. If you are talking about the AE healight mod, then It won't affect your visibility. You can do this mod in probably 1-2 hrs, it's not hard. All you need is masking tape, and the paint of your choice. I have pics of this AE headlight mod done on my gold max if you want to take a look.
