trans noise please help

trans noise please help

I am going back into the trans area but I have a noise that I want
to fix but I dont really know what it is so:
It sounds like a bearing rolling around
The noise goes away if I push the clutch in
other then the noise nothing seems to be wrong what might it be?

does the pitch increase with speed?
if so probably main bearing like mine.

it is not a pitch are a whine
only way I can say it is it sounds like a bearing rolling around
in the trans
I can not hear it when driving

You probably don't have to crack the tranny open. Sounds more clutch related then inside the tranny.
