Whats going on fellow maxima owners. Well I know everyone has had a ton of threads on this system but I'm lazy and don't feel like searching for these answers when I know some of you can answer this simple question. I have had the system since January but haven't had a chance to install it. Now my question is who has this exhaust system without a y pipe on there car and how does it sound. I don't want my sound level to increase dramtically and I want a deep tone like the Apexi. Let mw know. Thanks. Mike.

 

everyone i know that got it had a y-pipe....arrafio, 97GLE, cmax95gxe, etc. i know it has a nice drone when you are going to fast for a gear and u let go of the gas, ifs just a bolt on and if u can install yourself i would just put it on to test it and if not happy take it right off...

 

it sounds real nice...I have a Ypipe, the OBX sounds real nice at starting, but after it hits a certain speed the Ypipe/intake takes over and you dont even notice the OBX as much...go for it, it sounds/looks real nice

 

would you guys say it sounds more like apexi or greddy?

 

I think it sounds more like the greddy.

 

Thats not what I want to hear. I need it to be more deep. I don't know now.
