Weather and Performance changes

Hey all,
Here in Brooklyn, the weather up until a few days ago has been disgusting. Rain and all that good stuff. Since I picked up the car a month ago I was never truly impressed with it's perfomance ( yes i know it is stock, but still...) Anyway, tonight was a clear night and the snow is melting/drying up. Tonight, as I drove, i noticed that the car was pulling better and seemed alot quieter/smoother especially from a red light. Am I imagineing things? Anybody experience this? Why should the weather have anyting to do with it? I am slowly learning about the Max, and this car has been a launch for my auto education. Anybody have a similar experience? Is the max sensitve to weather? I ahve a k and N drop in filter if that makes any differnce. Thanks for your help!

A car will not run at its best when its real cold or real hot. The optimum temp. range is from 55-75 degrees. The ECU compensates for outside temperature.

if you drive fast a lot the ecu starts to learn your driving habits
an it will slowly adjust things with a/f, shift points, etc. to a certain extent. it would be somewhat noticeable

Colder air can increase performance drastically; and air density. I think the rule of thumb is +1%hp for every 10deg drop in intake temp.

yes cold air is more dense and gives you a little more performance when it is cooler outside. Up here in NY, the fall and spring are nice to drive around in. I dont know the hp #'s, but that is true.
