Could it be my Rear Heated O2 Sensor???
Well about a month and a half ago my engine was acting real weird, it was knocking like crazy. I changed all my spark plugs, replaced a spark plug coil, new fuel filter, and a new knock sensor. At this point I thought my car was fine. Well about a month ago, I was with my friends in my car, I floored it and I look down to notice my check engine light is on. The next day I pull the code and its my "Rear Heated O2 Sensor". My car felt like it was running fine so I tried to reset my ECU to see if it would come back. The cel never came back on. Now, my car is back to its jerking/knocking stage, only at idle though, when driving you dont feel any hesitation or knocking, only when in Drive and in idle. I never did change my O2 sensor, could this be my problem? Its gradually getting worse and I cant stand it. What should I do. My car has 94k Miles and is a 95 SE. Thanks

To clarify, emmisions go up if the catalytic convertor is
not operating correctly. The only affect of the O2 sensor
not operating correctly is you get a light on yer dash.

convertor operation. If it is not functioning correctly,
your exhaust emissions would increase. There is no effect on
your engines performance or anything else.

I'm having a simalir problem with my 97 auto gle, with 70,000 miles.
I got the 0707 code after flooring it in a parking lot. Reset, and hasn't come back on.
I have an intake, budget y-pipe, and magnaflow catback exhaust... my best time is 16.09 @ 85.83
I know i should be doing alot better even with an automatic.
Anyone have this problem and had it fixed yet?

I just had 0707 code kick up today. I feel the same about my 1/4 ET (bearing in mind all the differences that could affect things like slickness of track, humidity, etc.)

yeap my rear and knock kicked in last week, gettin the O2 replaced cuz my cat is kinda dirty, so i will be gettin random tech before apexi WS catback (kinda weird), but anywayZ it's probably not a big deal if jus spray some brake cleaner unless u wanna change it new for good.

What's the root problem that causes the rear heated O2 sensor to be tripped? Is it too much O2, too little? How's this related to the performance of the cat (ref. PedalKick's post)? Help!
I reset my ECU last night but it tripped again this morning.
Thx for any additional insights.
