0512 and 0510 codes

Hello... I found this site last night and there is a ton of information here. I found out how to check the codes on my 99 se and got 0512 then 0510. I did a few searches and found out some information. I was just wondering if anybody knows any correlations between the two. If so, what should I check first? Is this something that can affect performance and cause serious problems to my car? The decoder didn't have either of these codes but there were a few posts on each in the forum, what a great site.
Thanks for any help.......Brian

Both codes are related to the rear O2 sensor in the catalytic converter. Code 0512 relates to a high voltage fault, and code 0510 refers to a maximum voltage monitor fault. I would just replace the sensor itself and see what happens. Or, you can go to a Nissan dealer and they'll run a diagnostics on it to be sure. (But, be prepared to spend some money on that diagnostics.)

Just went though same thing about 2 months ago. Bought rear O2 sensor from Courtesy Nissan. Cost including shipping was $65. Took 2 days to receive. Went to Autozone and used there free rent a tool program for an O2 socket wrench (Must Have). Took 5 min. to replace sensor. Easy to do. Reset ecu, all is well.

I got a 0510 and took out my sensor and cleaned it. So far it's been 2 weeks and no Service Engine Soon lights. *knock on wood*
