CEL: EVAP Control System?? What is this??
my service engine soon light came on a couple days ago, i ran the codes just now, got the knock sensor...but i also got EVAP control system?? can someone please tell me what this is?

It's part of the emmissions system. I got that code once and my evap canister had seized. It was replaced under warranty. From what I remember reading, a faulty evap problem won't affect performance.

Im also having the same problem with my 96 SE..... ECU came up with code 1008, which is the Evap Canister Volume Control Valve....... its vary easy to replace yourself........
