Frontal crash, frame moved 5 inches up (long, beware)

but still alive...thank god the car hit the mud mountain and spun 3 times and the rear hit the mud hill, and finally stopped.

I saw a baby deer on the road, and there was a car on the opposite lane, GA-120, near Duluth, single lane road... slightly poor visibility, curve.

I swerved by natural instinct, full 90 degree, and hit side of a mud hill at 60-65 MPH. both air bags deployed, fenders, bumper, lights crushed, radiator bent, I and passenger were wearing seat belts, no physical injury, no other people injured, and baby deer Ok I don't know what happed to her, but no blood or no meat chunk, so I guess she's fine somewhere in Duluth.

It was a scary moment, and I could have easily died, except for the 4 star rating of 95 maxima. On that day (yesterday, Friday, 3/7/03) I was so scared and could not even stand the sight of my maxima...so fearful of it.

But now, I am regaining confidence of my maxima, and will be restoring the car to 97-99 specs.

And this is what I learned: AGX + sprint + RSB + RSTB + FSTB + 17" or bigger wheels + z rated tires are a MUST before any performance upgrade.

Uncontrollable power is not only useless, but is lethal.

just for more info, all major components (including AC lines) work, no leaks, but my windshield fluid resorvoir tank has 8 rips (I'm gonna try to put a "Dasani" mod there )

The car runs good, except I have to pry out my alternator to give some space for the serpentile belt to run. Right now, it's scratching the sides.

In my moments of weakness, I even thought about getting rid of my wrecked max and getting 94 Acura Vigor, but I have decided it's not worth the money...I have leather interior anyway, and my max does better gas mileage. In fact, I know for sure that maxima VQ does better mileage than older 4-banger preludes.

And redmaxpa007, don't worry, all my interiors are fine, and the speakers didn't get any damage. In fact, my side and rear is perfectly unhurt. Just the front is banged up.

Thank you people for concern and camaraderie, that's what gets me, the baby deer and my max going...through moments of bitterness and hardships.
