A while back I raced my friends 5.0 Mustang 5speed and destroyed him....or so I thought. He was just messing with me. I have a 95 gxe auto with intake. We raced today and he just completely dismantled(sp) my autotragic. From 20-85 he had 3 cars. from 0-70 he had like 4 cars and kept pullin. I feel so damn slow.

This can be for many reasons: 1.we both had one passenger with us(last time he had one person and I was alone 2. He took his heavy sound system out of the back. 3. I put my 48 pound 17" rims and tires on last week.

...or....

He was just screwing with me real bad the first race. a**hole.

 

eh, you win some u lose some. it's no big deal i guess.

 

mustangs got a better chance of winning anyways, you did good, dont sweet it. get the 5 speed

 

Those are the slowest of all Mustangs, how did you loose, he probaly did something like change some internals or something that you dont know of...

the 5.0's have LOADS of potential

 

thats why I dont mess with 5.0 or GT Mustangs........ I can give them a decent run for their money, but I wouldnt want to risk it....... But on the flipside, give me a V6 mustang, I blow its doors off with my Maxima

 

5.0lx is an awesome stang, lightest, and its not a fastback- my friend had one, cut off the exhaust tips to different lengths and took off the 5.0 logo, and it looked like a 6cyl, had a procharger under the hood and could lift the tires from a light (so fun!) but i would only race him on twisty roads with my fiero... curves- the great equalizer

 

When I first got my y-pipe I raced my friend's 5.0 LX 5-spd. He stalled it, started it again, blew by me like I was standing still. But then again, my car is SLOW. He had the basic i/h/e.
