Replacing Control arm bushings

Hello all,

Does anyone have instructions on how to remove and replace the control arm bushings? I remember reading posts a while back about how hard they were to remove. Any tool I can create to ease the removal? Sorry, I normally perform searches for these king of questions.

Thank you very much,
Stephane

Someone earlier suggested to remove the control arm and take it to a machine shop & have them replace the bushings. I forget what you'd need to get the bushings off, a press of some sorts maybe?

The old bushings have to be drilled or burned out and the new bushings pressed into place.

i've done this a couple of time with non foreign vehicles. if its the same you can pop the old ones out with an air chisel if you do it in the right places, and pop the new ones in with a large socket and a BFH

Thanks everyone for your help, it seems that special tools are not required so I will try to remove them using force and brain

Thanks again,
SC

Do not try this without an air hammer.
