the avs es100's are better tires (better wet and dry traction and about as quiet and as durable) and quite a bit cheaper...unless you live where you get an occasional snow i would get the yokohamas.

edit: the yokos tread pattern is a lot better looking too

I have a set of Yokohama A550H tires on my car.... I love them, they provide great wet and dry traction, as well as a very smooth ride, as well as being very quiet...... You might want to check out those or the Yokohama a550HV series, which is a little better in the performance department..... The tread pattern on both series of tires is a V style pattern which greatly helps evacuate water from the treads more efficently, which gives it a rather agressive look too........

I used the ES100's on my Maxima in the 205/55/16 size. They are great tires for the price. The dry grip is good considering the long treadwear and the noise level is low. It's a great Z rated tire for an everyday driver.

I know this isn't want one of the options in question, but I have to say the Bridgestone Potenza RE950's I have are the best tires I've owned. You may want to consider them. Good luck.

I live in WI and we get a bunch of snow, rain, and anything else mother nature can throw at ya. I have a set of Nokian's and I love them. Directional thread, high speed rating, very quiet. a bit pricy, about $125 each, but well worth the investment. They are really durable, as I have damanged two rims (damn potholes) and the tires made it through with a problem. For sure i thought i was going to blow a belt, but no problems at all. Just another suggestion or choice, as if you don't have enough

the biggest problem is tire size and speed rating, i'm sticking with my stock 15 Saw Blades, and need atleast V rated tires (Z ratng prefered), i checked on tirerack.com again, my choices are now upto 3, Yokohama AVS ES100, Michelin Pilot XGT V4 and the Pirelli P6000, i might get one of those, but the main issue here is still wheel size and speed rating, if there is anything that would fit these, please let me know.

by the way, what model Nokians did you have?
