Uneven H&R drop? Why?
Uneven H&R drop? Why?
hey guys, i'm lowered with H&R's and KYB GR-2's on my 96 Max and I just realized today that for some odd reason, my front left fender and my rear right fender are dropped slightly more than my front right fender and my rear left fender. I've had the suspension setup for about 2 months now.
Anyone have any idea why this would happen? I'm pretty sure that the springs/struts were installed correctly and weren't reversed. A friend of mine who is on the org helped me out with this and he's done lots of suspension work. I'll ask him later if he knows what's going on, but for now, I'd like to see if anyone has any expertise/advice regarding this. Thanks so much.

Front left and rear right, diagonal corners, right?

I dont understand how the car could be sitting that way. That means your frame is bent severely the way I'm picturing it in my head.
You need to explain better for me to help. I just installed AGX's and Maxspeeds on Saturday. So the install is fresh in my head.
yup, diagonal corners, correct!... all 4 are dropped obviously, but just for some odd reason, i really think the rear left fender and the front right fender should be dropped slightly more but its not dropping, maybe (0.5 to 1 inch more?). My stock SE suspension was fine i think. I'll probably definitely hafta get my org friend to check it out.
Make sure you're on flat level surface and that front tire pressures are the same and that rear tire pressures are the same. Now measure from the ground up to the center of the wheel arches at all 4 wheels. All 4 should be roughly the same (a little room for measuring error). It is possible that the front height may be different from the rear but they definitely should not be different heights at the same end of the car. If they are, check to make sure that your spring is properly seated in the perch of the strut. Good luck.
thanks guys, yea, it ended up that my driveway wasn't level for some reason... i measured the fender to the ground in my garage and now its perfectly level. Nothing was wrong with the suspension. Thanks again.
