I can't freakin wait to drive this thing. I now own a 95 gxe automatic. Is the 5speed much faster? Can you actually feel it as you accelerate? Sorry, I have so many questions cause I'm finally getting one. It's a 96(edit) SE fully loaded except leather interior and a 5 SPEED!. 72k miles and garage kept, beige ext, beige cloth interior. Looks brand spankin new! All this for $8,000. Pretty good deal heh?

I know this is a waste of a thread but I just had to let you guys know.

Oh yeah I'm swapping my red/clears, Frankencar intake, 17" rims, clear corners, and Xenons to the new 96. It's gonna look saaahhweeet.

Sounds like a sweet deal! The 5 speed should be about .5 secs faster in the 1/4th mile than an auto or maybe even a little more i think? you will def feel it. It will be much more fun to drive too, and make you feel more in control over the car. Damn you must be so excited.

LOOK BELOW FOR LINK

^^^ i think thats too much for a 96 SE 5 speed with 72,000 miles. The value of the maxima has dropped significantly and according to kbb.com the value of that car is worth 7,300 in my area atleast. Although it is kind of hard to find a 5 speed, we're talking 700 dollar difference...dont want to give u regrets, just a second thought...print this out and show it to whoever u r buying it from and see if they'll drop price.

aright thanks. Tomorrow we'll have a nice talk on my portch while staring at the 5speed on my driveway. I'm sure he'll drop the price a bit, but I'm not sure about $7,200. That's a little to much to ask for. Just looking at the car, it's like it's never been driven. Almost 100% tread life on the tires and drives so damn smooth.

I'll try to bring it down to $7,700 but I will buy it anyway if he wants $8k. I just can't wait any longer.

i paid $7000 and a partial trade of my old car to equal $8000 for my 95 SE fully loaded andso damn clean. and she had about 112k miles on her when I bought it. but she came stock with the VLSD tranny so it was definitely worth it.

congrats on the new ride!

you'll love the difference in power from the auto to 5speed.
at the track...its more like 0.8 seconds difference!!

u'll feel the difference immediately...cause if you push the car off the line, you will smoke right through first gear, which you can't do in the auto.

anyway, have fun!

Thanks guys. I bought the car yesterday for $8k. He wasn't willing to do even 7,950. but oh well I'm so happy I finally got it. It almost came as a second nature to me driving stick. I've never driven one before but I've always dreamed of it. Didn't stall the car once, it was just a little shakey at the beginning cause I'm not used to using my left foot.

Anyway it's a fast b*tch!! I installed the intake on it in 10mins and took it for a spin, UNREGISTERED! I flew through first and in less than a blink of an eye I nailed second gear and KEPT PULLING AND PULLING!! Damn I love it. The shifts are so quick.
