Stupid brake pad question:
I warped my front rotors, but njmaxseltd sold me his set of 4 rotors for cheap (35K v. my 75K), so I will be doing a mini brake job. While I am at it, I may replace my pads as well.
This summer I am thinking about swapping out the OEM rotors to Brembo rotors. If I buy new pads for the OEM rotors, then go to Brembo driect-fit rotors, will I be able to re-use my almost-new pads, or will I have to replace the pads again?

You can lightly sand down the pads and use them again. Many folks would say no but I've done it on many cars. Heck, race teams use this method (swapping) to season their rotors/pads.

Given that both rotor sets are "true", it shouldn't pose a problem... The pads will "wear in" if it's just a little off. I typically have crossdrilled and/or slotted rotors so that usually speeds that process up.
