today i pulled into my driveway and turned off my music while the car was still on...i heard something from the engine so i opened the hood and heard what sounded like the valves knocking...it wasnt that loud and i havent heard it before...is it ready for an oil change or could there be a bigger problem? my car only has 36000 miles and was a lease car to an old man before i bought it....

 

yeh i also get little knocking sound, i dont know if thats normal.
i only use 93 gas.

 

The maximas have horribly load injectors. Go to the parts store and get a $5.00 stethascope(the thing the doctors use to hear your heart) for your car. Put it up to your valve cover, and then to your fuel injector, and also a few other places. But don't fret to soon, it may not be bad.
