Last night I took the Max and when to the store. Right before I went into the store, something made me look back at the car, and when I looked, I saw that I had left the headlights on. So, I go back to the car to turn them off and realized that the chime wasn't going off. So I turned them off and back on without the key in and still no chime. Thing is, I don't even know where to begin on checking to find out the problem. Any advice?

 

The chime is located under the steering column directly above your left knee area. It's a small white or was it gray color box with 2 wires going into it. You can remove the panel and the box is attached via two screws.

 

does all maximas (4th gen) have the chime. Mean doesnt chime when the headlights are on without key. Only when door is open with key in ignition.
