Intake manifold bolts- torque specs please
Intake manifold bolts- torque specs please
can anyone tell me the torque specs for the main bolts on the intake manifold?
ALSO for the VI guys- whats the torque specs for the bolts that hold the plenum cover on?

Upper- to lower-intake manifold bolts: These 4 should be torqued to 13-16 ftlbs, starting with the two center ones, then the two outside ones.
Throttle body: These 4 should be torqued to 13-16 ftlbs in a cross pattern.
IACV (idle solenoid) assembly: These 3 should be torqued to 13-17 ftlbs.
I had no specs for the VI secondary plenum cover bolts. Not terribly critical to torque those precisely right, just don't over-torque 'em. I would estimate about the same torque specs (13-16) as the above bolts, as these specs are dictated by the material being aluminum.
Don't overtorque any of the intake stuff. Aluminum threads tear out pretty easily if too much torque is applied. When in doubt, undertorque.
